Companies

A company is the billing and membership entity of the platform. A project can belong to more than one company. Plans and their quotas are assigned to companies.

Select Companies from the account menu. Each company you belong to is shown as an expandable card with five tabs: General, Users, Projects, Plans, and Presets. Company managers additionally see Invited users.

Amending company data, inviting or removing users, changing company roles, and maintaining presets requires the Manager role within the company. The Plans tab is read-only for both managers and users.

General

Field Description
Company name The name of the company. Mandatory.
VAT Registration number The VAT identification number.
Company address The street address. Mandatory.
ZIP code The postal code. Mandatory.
City Mandatory.
Country Mandatory.

Select Save to apply a change. Delete removes the company; this also affects its projects and is normally reserved for platform administrators.

Users

The members of the company.

Column Content
User name The login name.
Full name The display name.
Email address The address used for notifications.
Role Manager or User.
Actions Promote user to manager on a user row, Demote manager to user on a manager row, and a control to remove the user from the company.

Inviting users

  1. Select Invite users.
  2. Choose whether to identify the recipients by Email addresses or by User names.
  3. Enter one recipient per line.
  4. Select Send.

The invitations appear on the Invited users tab until they are accepted.

Changing a role

Select Promote user to manager in the Actions column of the user. To withdraw the role again, select Demote manager to user on that row. A manager may maintain the company data, invite and remove users, change company roles, and manage presets; a user may work with the projects they have access to. Neither role can change plan assignments from this view.

Invited users

Invitations that have been sent but not yet accepted.

This tab is visible only to company managers.

Column Content
Name The invited user name or email address.
Invited When the invitation was sent.
Expires When the invitation ceases to be valid.
Actions Withdraws the invitation.

Use this tab to confirm that an invitation has gone out, and to withdraw one that is no longer wanted.

Projects

Every project belonging to the company, including projects owned by other members. The tab label states the total.

Column Content
Project name The project, linking to it.
Added on When the project was added to the company.
Added by The user who created it.

This is the fastest way to see how the scope of the company is distributed across projects.

Plans

The quota assigned to the company. Consumption is reported separately for search and for monitoring. Every category, including Employee lookup, can have an independently configured allowance and reset interval in each column.

This tab is read-only. Company managers and users can review the assigned plans and their consumption, but cannot add, edit, or remove plan assignments here. Plan assignments are maintained by platform administrators.

Column Content
Plan name The name of the plan.
Created on When the plan was assigned.
Expires on The expiry date, or No expiration.
Monitoring usage Consumption of the monitoring quota per category.
Search usage Consumption of the search quota per category.

Each category is reported as consumed of available, together with its reset behaviour:

Category Counts
Keywords Search terms of type Keyword.
IPv4, IPv6 Addresses analysed.
Domains Domains analysed.
Darknet Darknet records retrieved.
Employee lookup Employee records retrieved.

The reset behaviour is stated per category. Available options are Never resets, Resets every day, Resets every 7 days, Resets every 30 days, Resets every 6 months, and Resets every year. For Never resets, consumption accumulates for the lifetime of the plan.

Before defining a large scope

Check this tab, or the resource limits control inside the dialogue, before adding a large number of search terms. A scope that exceeds the plan is only analysed in part, and the missing results are not obvious from the result views.

Presets

A preset is a stored combination of scan options that can be selected when a project is created.

Column Content
Preset name The name of the preset.
Default The preset that is preselected in the project creation dialogue.
Actions Edit or delete the preset.

Creating a preset

  1. Select New preset.
  2. Enter a Preset name.
  3. Activate the required options. The available options and their effects are identical to those on the Options tab of the project settings. E-mail security checks is enabled for a new preset.
  4. Select Create.

Setting the default

Select the radio button in the Default column of the preset. Exactly one preset can be the default; it is applied to new projects unless another preset is chosen.

Designing presets

Two presets are usually sufficient: a conservative one for routine monitoring and a broad one, with keyword search in the HTTP body and external subdomain enumeration, for an initial assessment of a new scope. Making the conservative preset the default prevents an accidental broad scan from consuming the plan.
